Cable Barrier Project Complete

Safety improvements along New Circle road are now complete.
Crews have finished installing a cable barrier system along much of circle four.
The cable barrier runs from Old Frankfort to Richmond road.
The multi-million dollar project is designed to stop cross over accidents.

    Yes....they are not finished with the barrier...I saw that yesterday too.

    Just thought you should know that they are not finished. There is still a long stretch where they have not even placed the posts yet.

    When approving this project, did anyone think of how this would impact emergency vehicles in the event of an accident? Currently they can cross the medians anywhere along New Circle...Now they will be forced to use the exit ramps...Doesn't this limit their access and potentially increase their response time???
