Paris Police Have Person Of Interest In Boy's Murder

New information in a murder investigation underway in Bourbon County.

State Medical Examiner Emily Craig and other officials were on the scene on Tuesday at a garage in Paris where six-year-old Wesley Mullins' body was found this weekend.

27 NEWSFIRST has learned they're there with Paris Police collecting evidence, but officials won't say exactly what they're looking for.

Wesley Mullins was found dead inside his grandfather's garage in Paris not long after his family reported him missing.

The coroner says Mullins died of blunt force trauma after being hit several times with an object. Police say they are interviewing a person of interest in the case, but have not said who that person is.

Tuesday Mullins' grandfather and another man staying in the house at the time of murder were both given polygraph tests, but Paris police declined to comment on the results.

Our hearts are with this family. We as a community will continuue to do what we can to keep this baby's name alive. We had a benefit ride today put on by Jim & Linda Young. All proceeds to be donated to Wesley's Place. We had 120 bikes. Including the 2 officers that escorted, there were 7 Paris Police Officers and spouses/children who were able to attend. It is also sad that this comment section has been used for people to bicker about this. We should all live by this saying "We are not perfect and don't live to be, but don't you go pointing fingers unless your hands are clean." Honestly, which one of you lives the perfect life. My bet would be none. God Bless.

This little boy did not deserve what has happened to him, I know this family very well, they are apart of my family, Bobby loved Wesley and I know that... people on here wanting to put down them and talk bad about them, Do you know them? PROLLY NOT... So watch what you say...you don't know anything, Do you happen to know about granparents, the person that put Bobby down for letting him stay up all night, don't you know grandparents let they're grand children do what they want... unless you all the over protective type of a person, don't down this family, they don't need this at this time, that is the last thing they need, anyways I am on they're side, and the family we have that is all they need...

BIGMAMA, if you will read more closely, it was not I who asked about his family - it was Mel. I was asking where Mel got his facts from to be putting stuff on here about his mother. Thanks for your interest, but next time, read a little better!
