Lexington Shooting: Suspect Arrested

A 26-year-old Louisville man is charged with murder in connection to a double shooting in the city's south side Saturday night.

Carlos Ordway, of Louisville, was arrested and charged with two counts of murder and one count of tampering with physical evidence. Police say they arrested Ordway shortly after arriving at the scene.

Police arrived just after 10 p.m. Saturday and found two men had been shot. Police say one man was dead when they arrived, and another man was pronounced dead at the University of Kentucky Hospital.

The Fayette County coroner's office has not released the victims' names.

Ordway was being held at the Fayette County jail on a $500,000 bond. He is set to appear in court Monday afternoon.

How could you people come here and say such hatful things! My cousin did have God in is life, and now he's gone. He is missed very much, and it still hurts. They were in lexington because my cousin was visting family, he was killed by someone who he thought was his friend. Juan was a real good person and would go out of his way to do things for people

unless you all know who you are talking about maybe you should not be so judgemental.these people did not deserve to be killed the way they were.the guy that did it was their friend.they did not know that he was going to go insane and kill them.they all went to lexington together as friends and the person that shot them was physco and have not been taking his meds.do not throw stones if you do not know the story.by the way who are you to say they were trash? did you know them? I didn't think so.

casey...lexington is the same as any other ciity, yes. But the south end isn't the same as any other end in Lexington. My parents live on the south end near tates creek and I know for a fact that anyone in that area has reason to believe that they should be concerned for random shooters. You just so happened to know this particular random shooter and think that you know that area...as for the facts, you don't have.

Big Beara, Robert , Casey, et al, My family has lived in this area for well over 30 years. Its not always been this bad, and certain parts of southeastern hills are very safe. Instead of blaming Mayor Newberry, Metro police, "trash" or any number of excuses, be proactive about the problem. Form a neighborhood watch. Its been done in other cities with great success. The working poor are hardly trash, and those of you that espouse christian principles better dust off your bibles again and read about " judge not".

I wouldn't say anything new is going on Appian way. There has always been crime in that area. Decent folk may want to move.

Lexington is just as safe as any other city. Shootings are going to happen any place you live. To "concerned", the helicopter that was looking for what you say is "a random shooter", was actually looking for a man that later commited suicide. I am very close to the family. Find out your facts before you start commenting! :)

the troubls the absence of god being the head of lives today, of the ten commandments in our schools which states thou shalt not kill its the presence of false gods (idols)such as todays music and television even role model so to speak, the single parent homes where the fathers our mostly incarcerated its the presence of being satisfied with welfare, it's the absence of love,GODS love.we as people tend to want to "handle things ourselves"w we feel we have all the answers. The bible teaches us 1.Love the lord our God and only him to respect and listen to them. I know because i was once like the kids of today, i don't blame my parents for my wrongs i made the decisions that sent my life on a downward spiral. i was raiosed in church i was taught about the bible i just did'nt learn about it. we have to accept the hands that our dealt to us but that does'nt mean we have to play them.the bible teaches us how to deal with ALL of lifes situations, it's taught me that i can be forgiven it will u2
