Record Breaking Temperatures In Central Kentucky

The sweltering heat is back in a big way.

For the first time in eight years, the temperature in Lexington hit 101 degrees on Wednesday.

That 101 mark is the hottest it's been on this day in August for 71 years! Our previous record was 98 degree, set in 1936.

We need some relief from this heat and some rain. I don't ever remember a summer this hot and miserable in my young 34 years.
