Flyer Flap In Governor's Race

Kentucky's republican party plans to distribute 200,000 flyers with a fake picture depicting democrat Steve Beshear as a high stakes gambler.

Republican Chairman Steve Robertson says it a humorous way to point out Beshear's support for gambling.

Democratic Chairman Jonathan Miller told the herald leader that it's a smear tactic and will backfire.

The ad carries a line at the bottom that says the depiction of Beshear is 'not an actual photo.'

Meanwhile, 27 NEWSFIRST has learned both campaigns will go on TV next week.

I would have thought the press would have more of a liberal slant. But everytime I send in a comment about dirty Ernie, and George Dubuh, It never gets posted, why is that?

BESIDES THE HUMOR IN THE PICTURE....THE WORDS ARE TRUE. IN ORDER TO MAKE MONEY ON GAMBLING YOU HAVE TO HAVE LOSERS. GAMBLING WILL BRING THE STATE MONEY BUT WILL ALSO HURT THE FAMILIES THAT IT COMES FROM....AND YES IF THEY DON'T DO IT HERE THEY WILL SOMEWHERE ELSE. BUT THE TRIP TO ANOTHER STATE KEEPS A LOT OF PEOPLE HERE. IT'S STILL A FUNNY ADD.

If anybody out there truly believes that this is an actual photo (as was discussed on talk radio today) I would hope those people are not registered voters. Get to know the candidates; understand the issues and educate yourself on what each candidate stands for. If you believe everything you see without investigating, you're the gullible person who should not be voting. It doesn't matter the party; they all do it. This is no different than handing out flyers (both parties) which says one or the other has or hasn't done something when you stretch the truth. I can call a liar out of anyone if I want to spin it my way. An "us versus them" mentality among the voters will get us no where. By the way Bob from Corbin; they both spew progaganda; it is not one sided. They both suck when it comes to telling the truth.

Beshear says he supports gambling and he's for it. He's for the sorry jobs that pay nothing. So, he if he can't stand the heat then get out of the race.
