Police say Johnny Sizemore killed 54 year-old Gerald Sizemore of Manchester.
Police arrested him at his home Monday, where they say he assaulted Gerald Sizemore late Saturday night.
He was airlifted to the UK Medical Center, but later died from his injuries.
WYMT’s Jeff Gould spoke to the family of a man that cared deeply for his family and especially his children.
His wife says, Sizemore left his house on Wayne Street in Manchester just after ten Saturday night.
When he returned four hours later, she heard his vehicle crash just outside the house. Seconds later, he stumbled through the door, barely able to walk and collapsed on the couch.
He was later airlifted to the UK Medical Center, where he died, leaving behind a wife and five children.
They say he always taught them to make the right choices.
“You should always stand up for what you believe in, and be a good person, make the right decisions, and he was a family man, he loved his family more than anything on this earth,” Dylan Sizemore said.
WYMT’s Jeff Gould spoke to Gerald Sizemore's wife and said he always told her where he was going, and was unsure why he left the house so late at night.
She also mentioned that he carried prescription pain medication with him for back problems.
When he returned home, the pills and his checkbook were gone.
