Williamsburg Looking For New Police Chief

Another Kentucky city is looking for a new Police Chief.

Williamsburg Police Chief Denny Shelley stepped down and left the department this week following a meeting with the city's Mayor.

Russell Jones, who has been on the force 23 years, has been appointed Acting Chief while the city conducts a search for a new Chief.

My prayers are with all involved in this situation, and I just want to say that Denny and Roddy have both done a tremendous amount of good for this community during the past year...Denny, keep your head high and remember If the Lord leads you to it He will lead you safely through it. And Roddy, "feels like home" still applies, and let's keep it going, in spite of whatever pressures come to try to keep people from doing the right things for the right reasons. It will come out right in the long run...as right will always prevail as long as we just stay focused, be persistent, and all continuing to take good care of all of our neighbors (whether they want our kind of help or not)! Best of luck and God Bless to Denny, Mayor Harrison, Williamsburg Police Dept, and the entire community. Those with ulterior motives are not as hidden as they think they are but my prayers are with them too.
