Debate Still Brewing Over Sunday Alcohol Sales

A proposal to expand alcohol sales on Sundays in Lexington is still open to debate.
After hearing arguments from both sides of the issue Thursday night, the Urban County Council decided to bring the topic up again for public debate during a work session on September 11th. They will then vote on the 13th. The proposed ordinance would allow alcohol to be sold in bars and package stores. At this time only restaurants which seat at least 100 people can sell on Sundays.
