Memorial Held After Family's Tragic Crash

A memorial celebration was held Saturday at the Church On The Rock in Berea for Macy Carta, a 10 year old who was killed two months ago in a tragic car crash.

Macy, her mother Pam, and her brother had just picked up Macy's father, who was returning home from Iraq. The Carta family crashed on the way home. Macy was killed in the crash while Pam was critically injured.

The ceremony was a way for Pam to say goodbye to her daughter becuase she was recovering in the hospital at the time of the funeral. The community gathered at the church to sing songs, read poems and share happy memories they had with one another.

Afterward the Carta family expressed how appreciative they are to the entire community for all its support.
