Paris man jailed on marijuana charge

PARIS, Ky. - Paris Police have arrested a local resident and charged him with growing marijuana.

Chief Tim Gray says officers from his department took 41-year old Aaron A. Bennett into custody and charged him with growing pot after they found 21 plants in the backyard of his residence at #26 West 9th Street.

Bennett was charged with marijuana cultivation of over five plants, a felony. He is lodged in the Bourbon County Detention Center. An investigation is continuing.

Photos supplied by police show marijuana plants in the back of a pickup truck and being carried from the residence.

Well KAT to make an arrest they have to have proof and thats why it took time. Paris Police did a really good job and by the way answer this for me, You are mad cause it took a month for them to arrest BUCK but it took our State Police a year give or take to make an arrest in the Toadvine murder. So if you are not an officer or you dont know about the law then sit back and dont say a word.

You know with what he had or they are saying he had it might have been strickly for his own use. Can't to the life of me figure out how he thought he would get by with it in his own back yard but oh well... And is anything 5 and under just a misdemeaner. If so why not just legalize the sh*t and no one will want it anymore... LOL... That is the main attraction. If you do a servey on it most teenagers will say I tried it just because I ain't suppose to and wanted to see what it was all about... Regulate it put it in liquor stores as it is and intoxant and see how many drug dealers you put out of business. LOL... Even the goverenment could get their share of the profits and what I see from the U.N.I.T.E. officers that is the only reason there out there... LOL... Do you think they actually turn in all the find... Give me a break... How stupid of anyone to believe that they do! They are as crooked ~~~~ as the rest!

Yeah Chuck, I strongly agree with ya there. I used to live in Paris and as you can see i am far away from there. It's bums like this that ruin it for the rest of us!!! They will most likely get 30 Days of rehab then out to get started again. they start on them Hot and heavy but then they just get a Small pat on the hand and told "You better not let us catch you doing this again" Just Give'em time..... As sorry as they watch.... they won't "catch'em" unless they are called on!! LOL So very sad but True!!

I know, I know, they'll let him away with it, just to start up again soon. Unite has proved that there is no real justice in the capture of drug. Off to another 30 day rehab they'll go just to get out of trouble so they can start all over again. You need to quit reporting on these bums, you're wasting your time and mine!
