A guilty plea in federal court from a Clay County magistrate accused of illegally switching vehicle identification numbers.
Terry Davidson entered the plea Monday morning.
Terry Davidson admitted to knowingly removing vehicle identification numbers from two vehicles.
An investigation by Kentucky State Police and the FBI found that between May and July of 2003, Davidson removed the dashboard and ID numbers from a 2000 Nissan Frontier.
He then replaced them with the ID and dashboard from another vehicle of the same make and year.
Davidson is scheduled to be sentenced in November and could face up to five years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine.
Nobody in Clay County could tell us if davidson plans on, or has already resigned.
The judge executive did not return our phone call.
