Voters Approve Alcohol Sales Again

Voters in Burnside have done it again!

They approved restaurant-only alcohol sales.

Voters there first approved a referendum three years ago and upheld the decision by a vote of 227 to 104.

Supporters say alcohol sales greatly improved the economic landscape of the only incorporated city on Lake Cumberland.

Others said alcohol only brings problems and they wanted the referendum reversed.

I hope we get standalone bars and package sales it's ridiculous not having them in this day and time. Why send tax money to Richmond and TN?

i thought as much. open up the boars nest boys drinks are on the house today.People money is not worth the problems this is going to bring the county. when you start seeing drunks and you will ,when you start seeing a lot of dunk driving , we all have seen a increase in that.and if you lose a loved one to a drunk driver who comes out of one of the lovely moist resurtants,i guess youll have to deal with it wont you. i hope someting that doesnt happen but it will.

Its funny how...I don't know how you would say it..conformed Pulaski County is. Whats the difference in selling alcohol in the restuarant, only in part of the county that is and not in the stores, its rediculous. Everyone just runs to Tenn. or Richmond to get their alcohol..if they are going to drink then they are going to drink. They will get it somewhere. Why not keep the money in the county and let it be sold in stores. One thing about Somerset is that no one there likes change. Glad I am out of there.
