Corbin Residents Asked To Scale Back Water Use

For the first time in 10 years, the Corbin Utilities Commission is asking customers to cut back watering lawns, filling swimming pools and anything else that takes large amounts of water.

A picture from the news journal shows water has stopped flowing over Corbin's city dam which is the supply for the area.

Right now Corbin's restrictions are voluntary.

Residents are being asked to conserve water, however the Mayor and Commission require the fire department to water the trees and flowers every night and call it training. Using thousands of gallons of water.
