Man Dies After I-64 Accident

One person is dead and another in the hospital after a bad crash on Interstate 64.

State polcie say 82-year-old John Reeder of Corydon, Indiana died when the car he was riding in crossed the median and hit an eastbound car head-on. Sunday afternoon near Mount Sterling. He and another passenger in the car were flown to UK Hospital. Reeder died at the hospital.

Police say two other passengers in the eastbound car went to the hospital for non-lifethreatening injuries.

The eastbound lanes had to be shut down for about an hour.

    the family will be told and iam sure they will be thankfull there crash didnt hurt anybody else a retraction should come if the staff reads the comments

    I was an eyewitness to this accident. The car was westbound and it crossed the eastbound lanes.It narrowly missed some eastbound traffic,but it never struck an eastbound vehicle. It struck an embankment on the eastbound side of I64.
