Southern Kentucky Teen Killed In Crash

A 19-year-old man is dead, and his twin brother is recovering from injuries, after their truck slammed into a tree Tuesday morning.
It happened along Highway 70 in Casey County.
Police say Joshua Monroe was driving the truck, when he lost control and hit a tree.
He died at the scene.
His twin brother, Joe Monroe suffered minor injuries. He was treated and released from a hospital.
Both are students at Casey County High School.
Funeral arrangements have not been finalized for Joshua Monroe.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash.

    josh was one of my best friends. like my big brother. my heart broke one tuesday when we were called and told. i dont think it really hit me until his funeral friday when i saw him for the last time. monday, sept 3rd he came to my house to see me. i was in tennessee so i wasnt home. last time i would have even seen him... he told one of ym friends to tell me he loved me.. and hed see me next weekend... guess ill always have to live with that... joe now goes to burgin again. hes STILL one of my best friends and like my big brother. i knwo him and the boys will look out for me. but it isnt the same without josh. the boys are doing better. connie's doing okay.. as is the rest of the family. but we will all ALWAYS remember our sweet josh, and how amazing he was. i love you josh. and i miss you terribly. i cant wait until i see you again. sorry i wasnt home that monday. ill regret it for the rest of my life. rest in peace. your always in our hearts..

    Josh was my best friend!! No one could ask for a better person he would do anything for anyone....I miss & love u JOSH MONROE!JOSH, Joe, and Gerria came to Casey Co. High School in Fall of '06 I knew we were going 2 be BESTFRIENDS!! Ever since we all took alot of classes 2gether! Its hard to deal with i lost 2 of my friends 2 years ago and i'm still trying to get over it! I am going 2 miss hanging with u in A.G.shop, Vocational in Mr. Hines (Welding) class and VICA! All of our thaughts will be remembered by Class of '07 & '08!!

    Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family of such a tragic loss. Josh was a very sweet and respectful young man. He will be tremendously missed at his tractor pulls and all things he was associated with.
