A Madison County man is behind bars after police say he broke into a nursing home and sexually assaulted a 90 year old woman.
It happened early Monday morning at the Berea Health Care Center.
Police say 24 year old Matthew Bryant was arrested soon after the incident.
They say he originally broke into the home to steal pain medication.
He's now charged with first degree sexual abuse.
Police say the home is now reviewing its security plan.
The victim is said to be doing ok.

If there really such a thing as justice in this country, then he will be locked up forever. He has pulled way to many stunts in his time and gotten away with just about all of them just because of having money in his family and they are stupid enough to use it for him over and over again. He has bothered enough people over the years, and done enough damage to everyone's property. You would think that there would eventually be an end to someone like Bryant whether or not the best attorneys can be bought. Put him away before everyone gangs up and puts him under.

Thank you anonymous!I am glad to know that someone else knows the real Matt Bryant. I have watched for two years now and saw so many thing happen and him get out of everythng. I just pray that this time the system works the way it should. He deserves punishment, something that he isn't so firmiliar with!

Let's stop the hysterical defending of Matt Bryant. Yes he's a drug addict. Yes, he is gay. I don't care that he wasn't there to sexually assualt this woman. The fact is that he put his hands on her and touched her inappropriately in order to get a drug fix. This is not about sexual gratification through power, this is about violating someone in order to get drugs. He is a cowardly individual who has hurt, thieved, assaulted and lied his whole life. Lock him up and throw away the key. I feel for this woman - to live to be 90 years old and have this happen; and people defending this creep? If the victim was 9 years old would anyone still be defending him? Can we just get back to the time when we still had some care, concern and respect for our elders and stop protecting the criminals who take advantage of them? Matt Bryant had everything handed to him on a silver platter - finally! At last this is one jam Mommy and Daddy can't buy him out of. Some one should fire his probation officer!

Ok I also know Matt and he is by far not bi-sexual. He is Gay people. He is a nice looking guy and he could have alot of women but he doesnt like women. I can`t wait to hear the whole story. There has to be more to it. I think everyone else should hear the whole truth before judging also.

This type of sexual assault has nothing to do with sexual desire. It's all about POWER, control, and self loathing. Gay or straight it's a criminal mind at work. If Bryant is convicted, the question is what led him to a life of crime? Was it nature or nurture. Was he born evil or did something in his past make him this way? Many sexual preditors are themselves victims of sexual abuse. The bottom line. If he did it he shouldn't be out on the street. But, yes, even if he's gay the desire for power was probably his motive.

I really think this is a terrible thing that has happened to this elderly lady. I am just glad that this facility acted quickly and he was captured before he could actually rape the lady. People have broken in to places that are alot more secure and i think that a druggie who wants a fix will find a way in. I think this guy should be made an example of and as for the comment about him being gay hasn't anyone ever heard of bi-sexual. All the truth will come out and hopeful the court will do there jobs well and he will be off the streets.

Note to Jenny: You say if Matt was in his right mind frame nothing like this would have ever happened. Then you go on to say "I hope that some day matt will come to realize there more to life than finding a fix to due drugs." If your friend Matt was in his right frame of mind, he wouldn't be on drugs in the first place. Let's not blame the drugs; blame the person taking the drugs. RESPONSIBILITY FOR ONE'S OWN ACTIONS!!! It kills me how people want to blame the substance for all the problems but not the person who took the substance. It doesn't enter a person's body by accident; THEY put it there. According to his rap sheet, he is nothing but scum and will never amount to anything in life but wasting our air and the time of law enforcement. Next time he does something like this, I would hope his victim does enough harm to him where we won't hear his name ever again!

I've said it time and time again, Ky's motto should be: "Criminals come to KY, there is no justice here"! Our judges and lawmakers are jokes when it comes to protecting the children and elderly. This guy will not get a thing out of this, he's beaten every rap up to now and he will continue as long as the justice system is the way it is. He can just hand the judge some drugs or money and he'll go free. There are judges who take drug too! That's why drug addicts get off so easy. Drugs are EVERYWHERE and in every area of our country. I feel sorry for this elderly lady because for her there will be no justice given. Victims have no rights, the crimials have them all! Fire the lawyers, judges and lawmakers, they are useless!
