Klan Business Cards Left In Neighborhood

OWENSBORO, Ky. (AP) - Some residents in a western Kentucky neighborhood say they are disturbed and angry after finding calling cards from the Ku Klux Klan at their homes recently.

The Owensboro Messenger-Inquirer reports that the business cards are white with a screened American flag image on both sides along with the KKK logo.

Residents of an Owensboro neighborhood found them Sunday morning. The cards were left at the ends of driveways and in mailboxes. They read: "For your safety, the Ku Klux Klan was watching over your neighborhood as you slept."

Resident Debbie Gilbreath said her initial reaction was disbelief that the Klan would be in the neighborhood and be so bold.

Sabrina - don't be too quick to judge. I have been through a few towns in Georgia and the following is a sign that was posted on the front door of a small Mom and Pop store; "No pets allowed except C and I dogs." I'm not a dog person, but I have never heard nor read anything about that type of dog. Since you are in Georgia, can you help me out on that one? Yes, I'm being a smart a$$ but the sign was real. I agree with your comments to a point but don't lump everyone into one basket. I have lived in KY for almost 20 years and know quite a few people whose education level is lacking to the point of non-existent. In their defense, they are some of the nicest, most kind-hearted people I have ever met in my life. Maybe they can't spell but I'd rather have a conversation with them versus someone who always wants to "top" my story or try to belittle me because it makes them feel superior.

It's amazing the information that can be gathered just from perusing the above listed comments. From the outstanding disregard (or lack of knowledge thereof) for the rules of grammar and SPELLING, I'd say this must be a forum where the high school drop-outs are allowed to commune and spread ignorance.

This is an example of one group of people taking the law into their own hands. Perhaps, if we had justice in KY, these groups wouldn't feel the need to raise their ugly heads. I'm afraid more people like this will start taking matters into their own hands. People are just sick and tired of the injustices we see in our criminal justice system. By no means am I upholding the KKK, they are a bunch of crowds in sheets. But one can see why this is happening.

I think they are the worst disgrace to the human world! We are all made in gods imagine, and if u want to know the truth about it the ones wearing the (edited) white sheets over their heads because they are afraid someone will see them are (edited)!!!!!

You know something else that just occurred to me? These worthless P.O.S. excuse for "humans" probably can't even read how much we are making fun of them.

Well.....that was mighty white of them! LOL! I still can't believe they still exist in our society. If Bed, Bath and Beyond would quit carrying white sheets, what would they wear? Hmmmmmmmm...makes you think. I know, let's just make pink sheets from now on and I bet they go away...LOL!

I think it is a shame that there is a group like the KKK. Seems like our government upholds a group of downright criminals, but don't have much for God.

Fred said it. So the next time u'ens wants to make fun of us'ens, just remember that at least we don't print business cards for the KKK.

watching the neighborhood or staking it out for later break-ins? Or worse. If you're so brave why wear the hoods and hide behind skirts?
