Wish Granted For Terminally Ill Fleming County Girl

A community pulls together to make one memorable night for a young Fleming County girl and her family.
10-year-old Kaylee Maze has suffered from cystic fibrosis,a fatal disease that affects the lungs, for nearly all her life.
At just four months old Kaylee was diagnosed with the disease.
In 2004 Kaylee had a double lung transplant that her body is now rejecting.
Doctors say she does not have long to live, so on Saturday one of her wishes was granted.
Kaylee got to go to the prom.
She'll may never see her senior prom, but on Saturday night she got to share this classic right of passage with her friends and family.
Kaylee's prom was pulled together on two days notice, and guest tell 27 NEWSFIRST it was a night they'll never forget.

Hi my name is Ashley Ishmael of Fleminggsburg Ky. This young 10 year old will be missed by many espesially me. I only got to see her a few times but a few was enough to know and to love her. Now this young will not have to suffer, she is withGod noe and she is 100% healed and also in heaven there are no dieases. She is walking on streets of gold. She is tellin mom and dad "I am alright" When I went to her 8th grade party on the Saturday when they played the song for her and her family, there was a dry eye in the crowd. So I will keep the Maze family in my prayers, and I just want to say that every thing is okay. In jesus Name.

I have the honor of being Kaylee's 4th grade teacher. She is such an inspiration to us all here at Hillsboro Elementary. This entire school supports her and her family and continues to pray and love her every single day. The "move" had nothing to do with the principal. That was a decision made by someone else, not the principal. We all love Kaylee very much and miss her when she is not here at school with us. Please continue to keep Kaylee and her family in your thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.

is it true that the principal at Kaylee's school would not let you have the prom at the school and that is why it had to be moved to the middle school? IF so i think that someone needs to be answering some questions as to why she would not allow the prom at Kaylee's school
