Water Shortage Warning Issued For One County

The drought is drying up lakes across eastern Kentucky, forcing water shortages in many areas.

The division of water has issued a water shortage warning in Magoffin County where the licking river is running low.

A water shortage watch is also in effect in several counties.

The city of Evarts in Harlan County has also declared a local water shortage advisory.

Residents in these areas, as well as many other water districts in eastern Kentucky are asked to conserve water in any way they can.
