Leaders Gather To Explore Ways To Improve The Region

Leaders from southern and eastern Kentucky gathered in Somerset to explore ways to improve the region.

Congressman Hal Rogers and former Governor Martha Layne Collins encouraged people by explaining how they brought about economic developments and improvements for the state.

Rogers said future initiatives should start with young people.

Martha Layne Collins talked about how she convinced the Japanese to locate their Toyota plant in Kentucky.

She says Kentucky leaders need to pay attention to economic opportunities in China.
