More Video...

Two sisters, both high school students, are dead after a crash in Harrison County Monday night.

The two have been identified as Jennifer and Sarah Riggs.

The Harrison County Sheriff's Department says the two students killed were a junior and a senior at Harrison County High School.

The accident happened three miles east of Cythiana on 62.
That's where police tell 27 NEWSFIRST a Camry heading west rounded a curve and lost control and hit a Dodge pick-up truck.

Two other teens, also students at the high school, were also hurt.
Jake Stevens and Jennifer Edens are recovering at Harrison Memorial Hospital.

The driver of the pick-up truck, Steve Malone, was hurt as well in the crash.

More than 100 students were at the high school Monday night where counselors were on hand to aid grieving students.

School officials say both girls were very popular and active in school.

Homecoming was scheduled for the week, but all activities have been canceled to let students grieve.

To say what you have said, was uncalled for. As you can see by reading these comments made by friends, family and the community, Sarah and Jennifer are sorely missed. You have no right to judge someone. I take it by your comment that you were never a teenager going somewhere with your friends and maybe not paying the attention to driving that you could have. You have never gone over the speed limit for any reason. This is a tragic ACCIDENT that has shaken our entire community and surrounding areas not to mention what it has done to their parents, their sister, their friends. Have some compassion or keep your trashy comments to yourself. I pray for peace in the hearts of everyone involved. Family and friends of everyone that this tragedy has touched.

My condolences are sent out to the Riggs family. I knew the Riggs sister's through their Grandfather. I was his neighbor. I also ran cross country with Sarah for a short time. It is hard to lose someone. Only time will heal everyone's pain. "While we are mourning the loss of our friend, others are rejoicing to meet him behind the veil." By: John Taylor
