Teenager Accused Of Murder Being Tried As Adult

A teenager has been indicted by a Fayette County Grand Jury for a murder that happened in early July.

17-year old Chance Lewis has been charged as an adult with murder and tampering with evidence.

Police say he shot and killed Tamon Thompson at Third and Race Streets.

Police say the shooting happened after the two teenagers had an argument.

    I feel bad that my cousin has become a statistic and will most likely spend the rest of his life in prison. May God bless the victim's family as well as ours during this trying time.

    Good for them. He should be tried as an adult! If these kids are old enough to do the crimes, then they are old enough to do the time too! Perhaps if more of them were punished as adults, then these smart aleck little brats would quit using their age as an excuse to get away with crimes! The first thing out of their mouth's is "I'm a juvenile, so they won't do anything to me". Again try them as adults, then this nonsense will stop!
