Murder Suspect Charged In Pick-Pocketing Ring

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A suspect in the murder of a Louisville woman and the wounding of her two-year-old daughter has been arrested in connection with a ring of pickpockets.

Twenty-two-year-old Kenneth Williams was arrested in August along with 26-year-old James Quisenberry for killing Earon Harper and wounding her daughter, Erica. The race to the hospital with the little girl in a police car resulted in awards for officers involved in saving her life.

Williams was among five people indicted by a federal grand jury Wednesday on a charge of conspiracy to commit access-device fraud. The indictment alleges that between 2000 and this year, the five went to sporting events in Kentucky, Tennessee, Michigan, Indiana and Georgia to pick pockets. The group is accused of using credit cards stolen in those incidents to get $140,000 in money, goods and services.
