The Farmers Volunteer Fire Department needs to be commended on this call due to the fact that will they were treating the patient they were attacked by a swarm of yellow jackets and numerous members were stung. However one of those members that was stung that rode in with the ambulance crew had a severe allergic reaction and went into shock and had to be treated as well while the ambulance crew were enroute to the hospital.

I commend you on your accuracy of reporting this terrible tragedy. As one of the two girls who witnessed the drowning and performed CPR on the woman until help arrived, it eases my mind to know that the woman was not alone during her time of need. Thank you.
