Interstate back open after crash shuts it down for hours

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Northbound I-75 has been re-opened at the 118 mile marker, after a crash between multiple cars shut it down for nearly four hours.

It happened around 3 o'clock Saturday afternoon, about one mile before the Ironworks Pike exit.

Multiple vehicles were involved, and several people are injured. Lexington Police say one of those people are critically injured.

The most severe damage was done to a gold car, after police say a gray Ford pickup slammed into the back of it.

The crash has caused a mess along roads near the scene.

Police are advising drivers to take alternate routes, until crews clear the scene.

Officials are not releasing the names or ages of anyone involved.
