LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Another suspect is behind bars in connection with a suspected crime ring in Lexington.
23-year-old Philip Perkins was arrested in connection with a residential burglary and is the latest to join several others that police believe are involved in a theft ring.
Police say they believe more than 10 people allegedly targeted several homes as well as the Apple Store in Fayette Mall.
Perkins faces charges for both, as well as a parole violation.
On Tuesday, police say 20-year-old Jaleen Watson admitted to stealing multiple times from the Apple Store. And 19-year-old Tyler Gadberry was charged with burglary. Police believe Gadberry was one of the primary individuals selling the stolen items for the group.
Gadberry is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday for another charge, sexual misconduct, after police say he allegedly had sex with a 14-year-old against her consent.
Police have said that several juveniles have also been charged in connection with the crime ring case.
Officials say the investigation is still ongoing.
