Bad hair bandit pleads guilty to robbing banks

LONDON, Ky. (AP) - A man known as the "bad hair bandit" has pleaded guilty to robbing multiple banks in southern Kentucky.

The Times-Tribune reports Jason Fox has agreed to plead guilty to five of eight robbery counts officials filed against him in 2011. The charges came in a string of robberies in which the suspect wore a variety of ill-fitting wigs as a disguise.

The newspaper reports Fox admitted to robbing banks in Barbourville, Pine Knot, Corbin and Williamsburg.

His wife, Tasha Fox, was also charged in the robberies. She entered into a plea agreement in February and is scheduled for sentencing on June 20.

Sentencing for Jason Fox is set for Aug. 15.
