BEREA, Ky. (WKYT) - State officials in West Virginia say, in most areas, they can no longer detect any of the industrial chemical that spilled into the water supply earlier this month. They say the water is safe for people to drink and use.
However, one Berea man says the results aren't crystal clear, so he's doing what he can to help.
Willie Dodson started a Facebook page called Central Kentucky Clean Water to West Virginia. Monday, he'll be taking 700 gallons of water to the rural areas surrounding Charleston, West Virginia.
"I was in Kentucky just angry about the situation, but getting to go back and forth and actually help, it's good to see people coming together," Dodson said.
Dodson plans to continue making trips to West Virginia until he believes the water is safe.
