Beshear's state of state address set for Feb. 6

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - Gov. Steve Beshear will deliver the annual State of the Commonwealth address on Feb. 6.

Spokeswoman Kerri Richardson announced the date on Friday for the speech to a joint session of the Legislature. In the televised speech, the governor is expected to highlight his legislative priorities for the upcoming session.

Lawmakers are set to arrive in Frankfort on Tuesday to start the legislative session. But after a week to get organized, they're scheduled to adjourn until Feb. 5 when they return to get down to business.
