Bluegrass music video shot in east KY

Bluegrass favorites "The Roys" release of their much anticipated album "Lonesome Whistle".

This song we want to talk about the guy getting up before the sun comes up and when he gets out of the hole the suns gone down.

The songs music video was filmed in coal country Hazard, Kentucky.

“It really pays tribute to them and they were very appreciative of that,” Lee Roy said.

Elaine Roy is also particularly fond of a song called "Trailblazer", written with her hero Dolly Parton in mind.

“I want it to be about dreamers just like me, never know where God will lead you. Just gotta keep blazing those trails,” Elaine Roy said.

The album was put together in just 4 weeks.

From the first song, to the last, the Roys say "Lonesome Whistle" is everything they've ever wanted and more.

“Creatively not sure we would have gotten a better album any other way,” Lee Roy said.

God keeps opening doors and we keep walking through them

We are told the video “Coal Minin' Man” was shot using local miners at Teco Coal Company.
