Body found on Lindsey Wilson campus identified

COLUMBIA, Ky. (AP) - A body found inside a truck on a south-central Kentucky college campus has been identified as that of a 24-year-old commuter student.

Adair County Todd Akin said Jamison Stephens of Russell County had been dead four to five days when the body was found late Tuesday near some on-campus apartments at Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia. A receipt dated May 30 was also found inside the pickup truck.

Akin said there was no obvious sign of injury to Stephens. He was awaiting toxicology test results, which take four to six weeks.

Columbia police are investigating.
