OWENSBORO, Ky. (AP) - A coroner says a worker helping crews prepare to paint the Glover H. Cary Bridge in Owensboro has died.
Daviess County Coroner Jeff Jones says the man died Monday evening after being taken to a hospital. He did not release his name.
Kentucky Transportation Cabinet spokesman Keith Todd told the Messenger-Inquirer (http://bit.ly/16LGVX ) that other workers found the man unconscious and tangled in safety netting. Todd said the man had burns on his hands, which is an indication he might have been shocked by a power line.
Both the contractor and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet are investigating to determine what happened.
