Burglar uses roof to get into Danville apartment

DANVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - A woman says that a burglar went to great lengths to break into her home.

Danville Police responded to a report of a burglary at an apartment on West Main Street on Thursday evening. The victim told police that a man entered her apartment through a kitchen window, only accessible from the rooftop. The victim confronted the man and he took off.

Through the course of the investigation, the victim was able to identify the suspect. Police caught up with him later that evening.

19-year old Austin T. Gibson is charged with burglary. He was booked into the Boyle County Detention center overnight Friday.
