Cars broken into at Breathitt County church

BREATHITT COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) -- Police say a thief is targeting people while they're attending church services in Breathitt County.

Police say someone broke into a car outside Word Ablaze Christian Center in Jackson, and stole an electronic toy that had been left inside a backpack.

The pastor of the church says the girl who owned the toy was upset, and didn't want to come back to the church for a while. But the pastor says he forgives the thief.

Jackson police say two other churches have reported car break-ins as well.

Police say the suspect is a blonde, heavy-set woman between 35 and 45 years old.

They say she was seen in a white or gray 2004 Dodge Durango.
