LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) -- It was a day of fun at Churchill Downs capped by a longshot winning the Kentucky Oaks.
On Friday night, the action moved to the Derby eve parties being held across the Bluegrass.
Perhaps the most well-known of those is the Barnstable Brown Gala in Louisville, where dozens of celebrities came to the party.
From movie stars and singers, to athletes and television actors celebrities of all sort lined the red carpet.
"The whole atmosphere and the betting, even though I'm not a gambler at all, I got really into it," said American Pie actor Jason Biggs. "The experience is pretty special."
Some of the big-name celebs traveled all the way to Louisville with one mission in mind: betting on horses. And of course, others came for the fashion and those well-known derby hats.
Everyone at Friday night's gala had one thing in common. They each came out to have a good time for a great cause.
