Fourth deadly crashes in five days in one Central Kentucky county

SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - Wednesday night a crash in Central Kentucky between a pickup and a motorcycle kills one.

It happened just after 10 p.m. on KY 32, Longlick Pike, just 10 miles North of Georgetown.

30-year-old Tye Jones of Georgetown died when his motorcycle collided with a pickup. He was thrown off his motorcycle and the coroner say he wasn't wearing a helmet.

The other driver was not hurt.

Jones leaves behind a wife and three children, twins that turn 4 on Saturday and an 18-month-old.

Johnson Funeral home in Georgetown will be handling the funeral arrangements.

This crash makes the fourth deadly crash in Scott County in the last five days. Two of those crashes have taken place on the bypass and were caused by red light runners, and two of the crashes have involved motorcycles.

There have been six deadly deadly crashes so far this year in Scott County. On average the county has about eight a year.
