WINCHESTER, Ky. (WKYT) - A policy that bans Clark County employees from posting on or viewing social media pages while on the clock is now in effect.

The Clark County Fiscal Court passed the new social media policy on its second reading last night. The policy went into effect immediately.

County employees can't use sites like Facebook or Twitter while working, unless it's for a work-related reason.

The judge-executive says the county would only investigate an employee's use of social media if a complaint is made.
