Community asked to help honor sailor

The community is being asked this weekend to help honor a sailor who died in training.

Taylor Gallant was taking part in diving operations, off the coast of North Carolina, when the 22-year-old was killed.

Visitation for Gallant is from 5pm to 8pm Friday at First Baptist Church in Winchester. His funeral will be there Saturday at 11am.

The Clark County Judge-Executive has asked people to fly the flag and line the streets Saturday during Petty Officer Second Class Gallant's funeral procession. It will go from Rolan Taylor Funeral Home, on South Main Street, to the Winchester Cemetery on West Lexington Avenue.
