Customer, clerk robbed in gas station hold-up

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are looking for the gunman behind an early morning hold-up at a Lexington gas station.

It happened around 3:00 Tuesday morning at the Speedway on Paris Pike.

That's where a customer says a man armed with a gun robbed him and the clerk of their wallets, then got away with cash from the register.

This is the sixth recent armed robbery of a business in the area. Three of them have been late night or early morning gas station robberies. Police say the description of the suspect in the three gas station robberies is similar.

Police are investigating whether the three gas station robberies are connected.
