FRANKFORT, Ky. (WKYT) - Late Friday night, a 22-year-old female died in a crash on Interstate 64.
Franklin County Sheriff's Office says a red 2012 Toyota Yaris, left the traveled portion of the roadway and struck a guardrail end around 10:30 p.m. She was unresponsive upon contact by paramedics.
The Franklin County Coroner's Office pronounced the female deceased at the scene.
Assistance was also rendered by the state highway department. The female was the lone occupant of the vehicle.
She was not wearing her safety belt. Excessive speed does not appear to be a factor.
