Woman dead, husband charged in Letcher County

LETCHER, Ky. (WKYT) - Police are on the scene of a death investigation in Letcher County.

Dispatchers say the call came in around 3:30am from the Mayking community.

Officials in Letcher County tell WKYT that the victim is 35-year-old Connie Elswick. Her husband, Roger Elswick, is in jail charged with wanton endangerment.

Connie Elswick was found dead along the side of Cram Creek Road in the Mayking community around 3:30 Thursday morning. There is no word this morning on how she died.
