SOMERSET, Ky. (WKYT) - Detectives with the Pulaski County Sheriff's Office headed out to 44-year-old, Jerry Beasley's home.

"Our narcotics units had been receiving information that certainly piqued their interest to that location," says, Pulaski County Sheriff, Todd Wood.

Once detectives went inside Beasley's home, they say they found much more than they were expecting.

Sheriff's detectives say they found a variety of illegal drugs, thousands of dollars worth of stolen property, and rooms filled with stuffed wild animals.

Detectives say they found bobcats, mounted bucks on the bed, and
42 turkey beards. Kentucky Fish and Wildlife officials say Beasley had illegally.

"This gentleman had no way to show he had taken these things legally," says Kentucky Fish and Wildlife spokesman, Mark Marraccini,

Marracini tells WKYT most people who hunt in Kentucky follow the rules but Beasley did not.

"It's not all that common for us to go in some place and find suspect wildlife where we end up issuing 76 charges against somebody," says Marracini.

"For us, that's probably, certainly in my time here probably the largest settings we came across related to hunting," says Sheriff Wood.

Beasley is now out of jail but he didn't want to many any comment about the investigation.
