SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) - A driver was rushed to UK hospital on Monday morning after a serious crash.

It happened on Leestown Road at Payne's Depot Road near the Scott-Fayette County line.

Scott County Sheriff's Deputies say the driver of a Toyota 4-Runner lost control of his car on the wet roads, sending him sideways. The driver of a Ford pickup truck, pulling a trailer, says the 4-Runner came into his lane and he could not stop. The pickup t-boned the 4-Runner, causing serious injuries to that driver.

"You need to be careful," explained Captain Jearl Porter, who's with the Scott County Sheriff's Office. "Make sure to watch your speeds. It is easy to lose control of a vehicle on wet roads."

The name of the victim has not been released.
