LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - We're tracking a consumer alert involving some popular cold and allergy medications.
Novartis is recalling Triaminic and Theraflu cold and allergy syrups because the child-resistant caps may be defective.
The defect allows the removal of the cap without breaking the seal.
The products were made between May 2010 and December 2011 at a Novartis facility in Nebraska.
The plant was shut down in December 2011 after federal inspectors found numerous quality control problems.
