Employee punched during robbery at Lexington business

We're tracking a crime alert in Lexington. Police are looking for two men who robbed an insurance company.

It happened Tuesday afternoon at the Barnes Insurance office on Winchester Road. Lexington Police say two men walked into the business and, without making any demands, started grabbing some money.

They say when an employee tried to stop them, one of the suspects punched him. Witnesses also had a close call when the suspects left.

"The witness was actually in a car and saw the suspects get into a vehicle, and that vehicle, the suspect vehicle, almost hit her as they exited," says Sergeant April Brown with Lexington Police.

Lexington police say the suspects are two black men, between 25 and 35 years old. Police say one is heavy set. The other has a medium build and wore dreadlocks in a ponytail. They drove off in a newer model silver Chevy Malibu.
