Family, friends remember stabbing victim

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Family and friends gathered to honor a Lexington man who was stabbed to death just weeks before his wedding.

Family members held a vigil for Steven Campbell Friday evening, near the Suburban mobile home park off Price Road.

Investigators say the 22-year-old dided after being stabbed during a fight Wednesday night on Mark Avenue, not far from Georgetown Road.

Theresa Parker is the mother of Campbell. She says, "This guy should be in jail he took my son's life. I don't understand, but he's going home sleeping on his bed every night and my son's laying down there on a cold slab."

Police say they're still trying to figure out what led up to the stabbing.

So far, no arrests have been made.
