On Monday night, the Fayette County Board of Education gave Superintendent Tom Shelton high marks for his first year on the job.

Board members say he met or exceeded standards in all eight areas of his evaluation, including leadership, management, and community relations.

They say Shelton will receive the same two percent salary increase and step up for experience as all other Fayette County school employees.
