DANVILLE, Ky. (WKYT) - After nearly a year of planning, a day many have looked forward to is almost here.
Workers put the final preps on the stage inside Newlin Hall at Centre College on Wednesday. On Thursday night, Vice President Joe Biden and Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan will be there for a debate.
Newlin Hall is used for productions and plays. Workers had to transform it into a TV studio.
The desk where Biden and Ryan received a final checkup and the stage area was cleaned on Wednesday.
Two Centre students had the opportunity to take part in a debate practice. They sat in the seats Biden and Ryan will sit in.
The debate itself will be a television event, but the public can take part in Thursday's debate festival.
The festival will feature concerts and a Jumbotron where people can watch the debate.
