Fire damages train engine in Lincoln County

LINCOLN CO, Ky. (WKYT) - Firefighters and emergency crews were called to a fire on a train in Lincoln County on Tuesday night.

It happened just before 10:00 p.m. near Black Pike not far from Hustonville.

The Lincoln County Sheriff tells WKYT that the train's engine caught fire.

The Lincoln County emergency management director says the fire was put out before 11:00 p.m.

He says crews were able to separate the engine from the rest of the train and keep the fire from spreading.

The Sheriff says no injuries have been reported.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
