First Day Of School In Fayette County

LEXINGTON, Ky (WKYT) - Wednesday is the first day of school for students in Fayette County.

Police are warning drivers to be careful around school buses to and from work.

Officers will be out in full force looking for people who try to drive around stopped busses... and they will give tickets to people speeding in school zones. Police say the best thing to do is just be patient.

Police will also have officers at schools that are under construction to keep a close eye on traffic in those areas.
